Business-side project assistance (AMOA) and industrial IT project management: stay in control of your projects

A PLM, ERP or MES project is won on the client side: clear requirements, a challenged integrator, rigorous acceptance testing. We provide the expertise and project management you need.

Team of consultants in a project meeting

Who is it for?

Industrial companies launching or running a project with an integrator that want to strengthen their project ownership, or that are bringing a project in-house and lack expertise in the solution.

Common situations

  • You are launching a project with an integrator and your internal team lacks the time or experience with the solution.
  • The project is drifting: deadlines, scope or deliverable quality are raising concerns.
  • You are bringing a project or solution in-house and need to secure key skills.
  • A major acceptance test or go-live is approaching.

Your objectives

  • Express precise, prioritised requirements
  • Challenge the integrator’s choices
  • Manage deadlines, budget and risks
  • Upskill your internal teams

What we do

We write or review requirements documents, prepare and run tenders, monitor the integrator’s progress, organise acceptance testing and lead project governance. Our consultants know the solutions: they know what is standard and what deserves discussion.

We work alongside your project manager or take on that role if necessary. We structure governance (committees, KPIs, risk management) and ensure that decisions are taken at the right level and at the right time.

Monitoring the integrator and making trade-offs.

4

Validation before go-live.

Engagement models

We adapt the way we work to your organisation.

One-off expertise

An expert addresses a specific question: an audit, an opinion on an architecture, a review of a specification.

Project support

A CNEXT team takes charge of all or part of the project, with a single point of contact.

Team reinforcement

Consultants join your teams or your integrator’s, on a technical assistance basis.

Why CNEXT?

We know how integrators work, having worked both with them and for them. We know how to ask the right questions, spot an unjustified deviation from the standard and propose a credible alternative.

Frequently asked questions

What is project assistance (AMOA)?

Business-side project assistance helps the client company define its requirements, select and manage its service providers, and validate the deliverables. It defends your interests in dealings with the integrator.

Can you join a project that is already under way?

Yes, this is common: taking over project management, auditing a project in difficulty or providing one-off reinforcement before a major acceptance test.

Do you replace our project manager?

Only if you wish. Most often, we strengthen your team and transfer our methods so that you remain in control of the project.

How do we get started?

To get started, an initial conversation is all it takes: you present your context and objectives, and we propose an approach and the right profiles. We can begin with a short scoping assignment before committing for the longer term.
